Microdermabrasion:  This procedure is a mechanical treatment which produces a mild vacuum over the skin effectively stimulating the blood flow bringing fresh oxygen and nutrients to the skin and increasing the permeability in the capillaries.  Tiny crystals are simultaneously passed over the skin causing an exfoliating of the outermost layers of the skin resulting in a smoother and more even skin texture.  Depending on the depth of the treatment the skins natural healing process will be activated and a stimulation of fibroblast, collagen and elastin will be produced having an anti-aging effect.  Mirodermabrasion is often combined with other aesthetic and laser treatments to obtain optimal results.

 

Chemical peels:  Chemical peels are use to treat aging wrinkled skins, pigmentation and age spots, mild acne scars and to improve skin texture and vitality.  A chemical is applied to the skin to create a controlled chemical burn to remove the outer most layers of damaged aged skin.  After healing new skin is generated that is smoother fresher and tighter and pigmentation and scars are visibly reduced.  A variety of chemical agents are used to create deep moderate or light peelings.  Deep chemical peels are much less in favor of IPL photo rejuvenation treatments and laser modalities which can achieve desired results with less downtime and discomfort.
